Coast
The coast offers a wide variety of landscapes: cliffs, black or coral sand beaches, pebble beaches, lava flows, … On the west coast lies a resort area with white sand beaches and a lagoon protected by a coral reef. International surfing competitions are held in St Leu in the south-west of the island. The southeast coast under the volcano is wild and unspoilt.
